Are you interested in starting your rope journey, but all beginner classes or videos feel too technical?
This beginner workshop for pairs will focus on techniques to play with rope. Exercises will involve only the most necessary rope techniques and rather focus on enhancing the connection between the people tying.
We will discuss what rope bondage is, and what kind of intentions people have for tying each other up.
We will go through the risks of rope bondage, nerve safety and negotiation.
We will practice simple rope techniques that will carry you further than you’d think (single column tie, larks head, reverse tension, how to end a tie).
Also, we will look into how to move together with and without ropes, and especially when the other one is tied up.
The workshop is designed to suit switching roles, so both of you can find out whether tying or getting tied is your preferred cup of tea!
All kinds of bodies, abilities and roles are welcomed to the workshop <3 Please let us know, if you have special requests, use a wheelchair or have other restrictions we should know about so we can modify the workshop content better.
If you have any questions, please contact Isla (ig isla_ika_, email islaikashibari@gmail.com) or Luisa (ig littlemissbunny) <3
For the workshop, you’ll need:
Water bottle which you can close
Lunch (workshop has 30-60 min lunch break)
Ropes, if you have them (not necessary, we have extra to borrow)
Comfortable clothes that will feel okay under ropes (e.g. yoga clothing, underwear)
Anything you’ll need to get comfy sitting on the floor or chair, like cushions.
